May perform one or more of the following: Summary This position reports to the TMHP Training Manager and requires a technical aptitude, energetic drive, and a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and communicate to a non-technical audience. The candidate will work alongside multiple departments internally and externally on day to day learning, technical, and multimedia support needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Modifies existing materials (videos, audio, and graphics) for use in online delivery Familiarizes with local online requirements and makes necessary edits and conversions to videos, graphics, and audio files Reviews scripts for interviews and computer based training modules, working closely with training developers and voice and on-camera talent ensuring high-quality results Operates audio and video recording equipment Uses various industry standard software applications to edit audio and video files in the creation of learning products Provides consultative feedback to internal and external stakeholders and colleagues while ensuring solutions provided and techniques used will maintain a positive user experience, data quality, and knowledge retention Assesses, develops and tests technical solutions and systems for enhancements and application Researches, installs, and may develop a range of products including device drivers, patches, system modifications, graphics modules, etc. Analyzes, programs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related learning solutions Using basic understanding of current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of internally developed solutions May designs web objects, including graphics, animation, and functionality May make hardware or software purchasing recommendations regarding web development Communicating timing, concerns, and requirements to a non-technical audience Work with Creative Designers to maintain templates ensuring branding and image Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Assists with storyboards, mock-ups, and flow charts of instructional tools and solutions Executes instructional designs using a variety of delivery methods Develops and maintains a consistent and professional look/feel for all training materials Expertly applies knowledge of audio/visual design to meet learning objectives, particularly affective outcomes Partners with a variety of team members, organizational stakeholders, and possibly vendors to execute instructional designs Conducts assessments to determine the effectiveness of technical solutions Demonstrates intermediate to advanced understanding of project management principles and applies them to manage multiple and potentially competing priorities and deadlines Maintains professional rapport with team members and colleagues Builds relationships with all levels of employee, from front-line to executive level team members Responds to all voice mail and e-mail in a timely and professional manner Maintains accurate time records Education and Typical Experience Required: Bachelors-level or extensive equivalent experience; typically requires a minimum of 5 years of additional related experience Preferred: Majors in Communication, Instructional Design, Communication / Visual Design, Multi-Media, or related fields Technology Skills Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat Pro, Presenter, Connect Pro, Captivate SnagIt Flash HTML, SHTML, XML Apple Final Cut Audacity Personal Aptitudes Attentiveness to detail; ability to think in both concrete and abstract terms; ability to maintain task focus while cultivating positive relationships; ability to tolerate ambiguity; ability to learn quickly and think on feet.
